Why waxing is better for your face

If you are contemplating on the best way to remove facial hair, we have the answer: it’s waxing.

For a long time now, women have tried threading, bleaching and plucking their facial hair. None of these are satisfactory methods, at least not as much as waxing.

If you are sceptical about waxing your face, you must read on –

1 It gives long lasting results.
The point of using wax is to remove hair from the root. The hair shaft has to rebuild itself from scratch to be able to grow out of the skin than before – and this can take about three to four weeks. This simply means that waxed hair takes about four weeks to regrow – that’s a long time between waxes!

2 It exfoliates and nourishes the skin.
The best waxing products are not just adept at pulling out the hair, but also at helping the skin. The best cold wax strips designed for facial hair removal take into account the fact that facial skin is delicate and thinner than the rest of the skin on the body. So each strip is fortified with skin-friendly ingredients like Shea Butter. It nourishes and hydrates the skin upon application, so the result is soft skin instead of dry skin.

3 It is more precise than other hair removal methods.
Some women shave their face to get faster hair removal, but shaving makes the hair growth back thick and course. Besides, the chances of cutting the skin are quite high. You can never be quite precise with a razor blade. Then there is the option of bleaching, but it just makes the hair turn golden – this is a disaster for those with a lot of facial hair, which now just looks golden instead of dark! In contrast, cold wax hair removal using strips designed for the facial hair offers extremely precise results.

4 The hair grows back sparser and softer.
Since the hair is pulled out from the root, it disturbs the natural growth and symmetry of the follicles. This is not a bad thing, since the hair must now take time to regroup and regrow. While the waxed hair takes about three to four weeks to regrow, not all the follicles are able to grow like before. The growth is sparser as compared to that prior to waxing. The hair is also finer, making subsequent waxing quite easy.

5 It does not harm the skin.

There are many myths about waxing facial hair. The most common one is that it makes the skin loose. Another is that it causes rashes and acne. None of these are true. Cold wax hair removal using facial wax strips is safe, effective and in fact, beneficial for the skin. As mentioned earlier, the wax strips nourish the skin and moisturise it. Also, the facial hair is not dense and coarse like hair elsewhere on the body, so it does not need to be pulled hard.
