Save yourself the Waxing Torture

For any woman, unwanted hair is a constant struggle for lifetime. There are a number of traditional ways of hair removal that include using a depilatory or hair removal cream, tweezing, shaving and most famous waxing. When we talk about waxing, a number of horrifying memories flash back to us. The time when you got the first waxing session or the time you wanted to have some adventure and tried bikini wax. Those pains, agony, burning sensation and sometimes irritation and itching are not worth the effort and result.

In the last few years, the technological advancements in cosmetic treatments have outgrown the expected pace. We have a number of laser hair removal treatments available in the market which can stop or at least substantially reduce the re-growth of body hair. Though laser treatment is considered as a permanent solution to body hair, few stubborn strands of body hair do grow back and require a follow-up session.

Unlike waxing, the laser treatment does not pull out the hair. The procedure includes a laser beam directed towards the body hair that radiates intense heat on the hair follicles. This heat treatment does not allow the hair to grow back.

The process is simple and straight forward. The pigment in the hair attracts the laser and absorbs the heat which travels to the hair follicle and the follicle gets neutralized. The hair shaft which allows the hair to grow back after waxing is shut down during this process and the chances of re-growth go down next to none.

Available laser treatments
There are a number of laser hair removal treatments available in the market which includes the Ultima Hair Reduction treatment by Kaya. There are many other institutes that offer similar treatments but most of them are nowhere close to Kaya in terms of expertise and technology. The treatments are based on three major laser platforms which are Alexandrite, Diode, and Nd: Yag. These platforms are completely different from one another. The choice of the platform depends on the skin type and color along with hair type and color. Different platforms work better on different areas of the body. For example, Nd: Yag is considered the best option for back or bikini hair while Alexandrite is considered most effective on fair and light brown skin type.

Why is laser treatment better?
First of all, you do not have to go through the painful process of waxing. Secondly, waxing only lasts for a couple of weeks while laser treatment is a permanent solution. Minor follow-ups may be required in laser treatment but overall it is much better than waxing. It is a misconception that waxing is cheaper while laser treatment is very expensive. In the long run, you will spend much more money on waxing in comparison to the one-time laser treatment.

Getting rid of the unwanted hair can be a tricky task for most of the women. Shaving lasts for a couple of days while hair grows with-in two weeks after waxing. If you use hair removal creams, it may take up to 3 to 4 weeks for the hair to grow back. But in the case of laser treatment, you will get rid of the unwanted hair once and for all.
