What nobody tells you about depilatory creams


Depilatory creams are good hair removal solutions that do not create a mess. They are great for women who do not have time to book salon appointments for hair removal.

Hair removal is a perpetual chore for most women around the world. Whether the hair growth is scanty or dense, body hair is normally quite visible and must be removed. The exposed parts of the body cannot sport hair – the hair not only looks ugly, it also traps sweat and dirt and creates grounds for skin problems.

But many women also do not have the time to go to the salon every now and then. Daily work pressures result in women putting off the salon appointment for long. Meanwhile, the hair grows long and makes it difficult for you to wear sleeveless clothes or skirts. Busy women can opt to use depilatory creams to remove body hair.

This is what you need to know about hair removal creams:

They offer better results than shaving. Many women prefer to shave their skin because it’s a quick and easy solution. However, the hair grows back rough and with jagged edges. The hair also grows back faster, since it is only cut at the surface of the skin and not removed fully. In contrast, a depilatory cream offers better results because it dissolves the hair just below the skin’s surface. The hair follicle may take four to six days to regrow and resurface out of the skin.

You cannot use them if you have problem skin. As mild as most depilatory creams are, they are still composed of chemicals and perfumes. If you have problematic skin, you must be circumspect about using the cream. Some women experience skin rashes, redness and soreness after using hair removal creams.
